I help first-time buyers understand mortgages properly without jargon, pressure, or confusion.

Whether you're buying your first home or planning your next move, I’ll guide you clearly and calmly.
Buying your first home should feel exciting — not like you need a mortgage dictionary and a lie down.

You feel overwhelmed, unsure where to start, and want everything explained clearly.

You’re selling and buying at the same time and want the process managed properly.
You may have to pay an early repayment charge to your existing lender if you remortgage.

Your income doesn’t fit neatly into boxes and you need lender expertise.

You want to make sure your home and family are financially secure.

You’ve had missed payments, defaults, CCJs or credit worries and want to understand what may still be possible.
You’re in the right place if…
That’s exactly what I do.

Buying a home isn’t just about finding the lowest rate. It’s about understanding what’s realistic, choosing the right lender for your situation, and making sure nothing is missed along the way.
Before you start viewing properties, I’ll look at your income, commitments and credit properly by using real lender criteria.
I’ll help you understand what’s realistic, arrange your Agreement in Principle correctly, and make sure you’re in a strong position before making an offer.
Every lender has different rules. What works for one person may not work for another.
Whether you’re employed, self-employed, or have had credit issues in the past, I’ll recommend a lender and product that genuinely suits you.
Once your application is submitted, I manage the process properly.
From application to offer to getting your keys, I’m there throughout.
How much can I borrow for a mortgage?
Most lenders start with income multiples, often around four to four-and-a-half times income.
But real affordability depends on several things, including your income type, monthly commitments, credit history and the lender’s own affordability checks.
What is an Agreement in Principle?
An Agreement in Principle (often called an AIP) is an early indication from a lender that they may be willing to lend to you.
It’s based on basic information about your income, deposit and credit history.
It’s helpful when you start viewing properties, but it isn’t a guaranteed mortgage offer.
Do I need a mortgage broker?
You don’t have to use a broker.
But a mortgage adviser can compare lenders, check affordability properly and help you avoid mistakes that could delay your application.
For many first-time buyers, having someone guide the process simply makes everything clearer.
